Eyelar

About

Grungy, emotive and honest lyrics that explore deepest inner feelings and sexuality are the backbone of rising new London-based artist Eyelar. Having spent her childhood growing up in the Netherlands with a truly varied mix of musical influences ranging from pop stars like Madonna to iconic bands like Nirvana, Gorrilaz, Paramore and the 1975.

Eyelar's heavily guitar-fuelled fresh emo-sound stretches across a spectrum of grungy rhythmic records to highly emotional and explicit Indie-Pop ballads. Its a sound that she developed while working with her producer collaborator Brunswick, who describes their sound as “Rhythm and Grunge”.

Realising her natural talent for song-writing from an early age, Eyelar spent her initial years homing her skills writing songs with alternative/ electronic music influenced artists. Upon settling in the UK, her talent was quickly discovered by the song-writing community and she soon begun to work with a range of talented producers/ songwriters/ artists such as

BastilleCharli XCX, Fred Gibson (George Ezra/ Ed Sheeran) and Matt Schwartz (YungBlud).

In December 2018, Eyelar released her first artist collaboration with rising UK Rap Star

Yxng Bane on a track named “Breakfast” which showcased her highly emotive vocals on a deeply reflective ballad.

In April 2019, Eyelar collaborated with Scandinavian collective Neiked on the track “Friend” a tongue in cheek look at the fine line between love and friendship.

This was quickly followed by an exciting collaboration with rising star Brunswick on

“Fuck You You Were The One” - a futuristic bass heavy track with powerful lyrics on love/hate relationships. The track was premiered as a “World’s First” on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 global radio show.

With a run of solo releases now locked in for 2019 and her first live live show now confirmed at Barn On The Farm on July 5th along side Eyelar is really set to announce herself to the world in a big way.
