About
Mathea, a 27-year-old from Salzburg, has quickly become one of Austria’s most successful artists and has now established herself just as firmly in Germany. With her debut single “2x,” she stormed the charts at the age of just 20, earned gold and platinum certifications, and became the country’s most-streamed artist—even though she hadn’t yet released an album or an EP.
Her success led to nominations for prestigious music awards, such as the 1 Live Krone and the Amadeus Award (Austria’s music award), which she also won. Mathea is now a highly sought-after artist and has collaborated in recent years with other established artists such as RAF Camora, Mark Forster, Clueso, and Fourty. Mathea’s success extends beyond music. In addition to her music, she has built her brand through campaigns for “Tezenis,” “Maybelline,” “H&M,” “Prada Beauty,” and “Dyson.” By founding her own label, “1998,” she also opened up a new path for herself in the music industry.
As early as 2021, at the age of 23, Mathea was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Austria list. Last year, she focused on writing and producing her upcoming second studio album, which is currently being released. Following “Boomboompow” and “Pfeil und Bogen,” she is now embarking on the next chapter of her musical journey with her new single “Einfach nichts.”
