Ski Aggu is a phenomenon. Since landing a viral hit in October 2022 with the song “Party Sahne,” which has since been awarded a gold record, things have been moving at a rapid pace. He's a regular in Spotify's Top 50, has reached number 1 in the singles and album charts, and has sold out his tour. When his gabber pop reinterpretation of Otto Waalkes' “Friesenjung” also went viral on TikTok in the summer of 2023, it became clear just how strong Aggu's community is. They fought for the sample to be released; in the end, the comedy legend not only supported the promo and appeared in the music video, but also performed alongside Ski Aggu at Splash, Germany's largest hip-hop festival. No other artist encapsulates the Berlin lifestyle and the zeitgeist of Gen Z as authentically in their lyrics, music videos, and social media presence as Ski Aggu. The Wilmersdorf native enjoys life – especially when rapping, with punchlines, technique, laid-back flow, and entertaining, authentic West Berlin rap.
