SSIO

About

SSIO is back—and he wants it all or nothing. A decade as the king of rap is apparently not enough for him. With a new album (even before GTA VI), jewelry as golden as Donald Trump's hair, and Burberry velour joggers, the freshest Kabuli 2025 is returning to the stages of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for his “First Tour After Corona” tour.

Anyone who has seen SSIO live in the last ten years knows what to expect: a catalog crammed to the brim with head-nodding tracks from one of the country's most outrageous live rappers – or as SSIO says on his new single: “Your signing sees my live show and learns like an apprentice.” It's no coincidence that SSIO's live shows have always sold out in no time. So better get a move on!

It's a confidence that SSIO can certainly afford. Back in 2012, with his mixtape “Spezial Material,” he delivered a self-deprecating alternative to the clichéd street rap standard with late-nineties beats – and continued his triumphant success with albums such as “BB.UM.SS.N,” “0.9,” and “Messios”: three top ten entries and a few gold records included.

And for good reason. Because it is and remains difficult to find an artist who, like SSIO, manages to combine wordplay, personality, humor, authenticity, and exceptional rap skills into such a well-rounded package—and thus remain relevant despite all trends.

A glance at your trusted FYP is enough to see that SSIO is still a regular guest there—with mashups, remixes, or his own songs. Without any new releases or sounds designed to go viral, but with straight rap about selling narcotics, the advantages of working in adult entertainment, excessive fast food consumption, and traffic violations in very expensive sports cars – between Bonn-Tannenbusch and Bangkok.
