The COVID-19 virus has completely overturned all of our summer plans. As we know, this cowardly bastard also ruined the FM4 Frequency Festival 2020. But we will not let it get us down and are already planning for FQ21 (August 19-21, 2021), so that it will be the most beautiful, colorful and loudest reunion. The latest line up can be found HERE.

Ready to dance and celebrate life together again in St. Pölten next year? After 3 years of being sold out, the tickets for next year are of course very popular. The Deadline to SWAP your tickets was July 30th, 11:59 pm. Due to technical reasons swapping your tickets is no longer possible.

Ticket return / voucher system

If you cannot attend FM4 Frequency next year, you can also have the ticket price redeemed as a voucher.  The voucher is valid until December 31st, 2022 and can be redeemed for future events organized by the musicnet entertainment GmbH (incl. FM4 Frequency Festivals), Nova Music Entertainment GmbH and Barracuda Music GmbH. For an overview of all future events please go to www.barracudamusic.at.

After this period has expired, you can have the voucher value refunded. This solution is based on an Austrian federal law that has been adopted in order to keep the culture and events industry alive for the next few years.

If you have purchased your ticket at oeticket.com, you can exchange it for a voucher HERE with the oeticket login data that you also used to purchase your tickets. If you obtained it physically at a stationary ticket sales point (tobacco store, Raiffeisen bank, Libro, etc.), then please return and exchange it at this ticket sales point.

If you want to exchange your Hofer festival pass for a voucher, send the code on your receipt and a photo of your receipt to hofertickets@frequency.at.

If you have already redeemed your Print @ Home ticket, please also send the typed ticket barcode and a photo or PDF of your ticket to hofertickets@frequency.at.

  • Where and when will the FM4 Frequency Festival 2021 take place?

    The FM4 Frequency Festival 2021 takes place from Thursday August 19th to Saturday August 21st 2021 at the Greenpark in St. Pölten.

  • Will the ticket price increase for next year?

    The pre-sale for 2021 will start with the final prices of 2020. That means the normal festival pass will cost 189.99 euros. Further ticket price levels are possible.

  • Is it cheaper if I buy a new ticket?

    Due to possible additional ticket price levels, the swap* of your 2020 ticket for a 2021 ticket is the cheapest and best solution. You can save yourself up to 40 euros if you e.g. bought a Golden Egg Pass for 149.99 euros last year.

  • How will the line up for 2021 look like?

  • Can I use my FQ20 ticket for next year?

    Yes, you can swap any ticket of any ticket category. And it's very easy - please go to our online platform, choose where you bought your ticket (Hofer, Raiffeisenbank, oeicket, eventim or musicticket), and enter your ticket barcode. Your ticket will then be swapped* to 2021! You receive a free order confirmation by email, which in combination with your FQ20 ticket is valid as a ticket for the FM4 Frequency Festival 2021. Your last chance to swap your tickets is on July 30th at 11:59 pm.

    *Upon confirmation you agree to set off your claim for refund of the price for the 2020 ticket against your obligation for payment of the price for the 2021 ticket.

  • Can I swap all ticket categories?

    Yes, all categories are open for swapping*: normal festival passes, VIP festival passes, BFF festival passes, Glamping, Comfort, Caravan tickets + all other categories for which you received a ticket and a barcode (e.g. lockers or mattresses).

    * Upon confirmation you agree to set off your claim for refund of the price for the 2020 ticket against your obligation for payment of the price for the 2021 ticket.

  • Do I need to swap my Green Camping ticket as well?

    No, Green Camping Tickets for this year will be valid for next year too. You don't have to swap them.

  • Does the swap require additonal costs?

    No, the ticket swap* to 2021 is free of charge.

    *Upon confirmation you agree to set off your claim for refund of the price for the 2020 ticket against your obligation for payment of the price for the 2021 ticket.

  • What are the advantages of swapping my ticket to FQ21?

    Your advantage is that you keep the festival ticket at the exact same price level as 2020 and can therefore save up to 40 euros per festival pass depending on the level. For example, if you bought an Golden Egg festival pass for EUR 149.99 last year, you now get a pass worth EUR 199.99 and save yourself EUR 50. This offer is valid until July 31st, 2020. So your last chance to swap your tickets is on July 30th at 11:59 pm.

  • I swapped my FQ20 ticket to one for FQ21? What do I need as confirmation on site?

    After you swapped* your ticket on our online platform, you will receive an email confirmation. In combination with your FQ20 ticket, this email is your valid ticket for next year.

  • I want to swap my FQ20 to another ticket category for FQ21. Is that possible?

    No, that's not possible.

  • I have won FQ20 tickets, resp. free tickets? What happens with them?

    All guest list places from this year will automatically be transferred to the Frequency 2021. An exchange or swap is not necessary here.

  • I'm a member of the freQteam and collected some "UFOs". What happens with these "UFOs"?

    All freQteam members will receive an email with all important info. If you have any further questions please feel free to send us an email to our freqteam address.

  • Can I swap my FQ20 daily ticket to another day for FQ21?

    No, day tickets can only be exchanged for the day shown on the ticket *. So a FQ20 Friday daily ticket can only be swapped* to a FQ21 Friday daily ticket.

  • Is there a deadline for swapping my tickets?

    Deadline is July 31st 2020. So your last chance to swap your tickets is on July 30th at 11:59 pm.

  • Can I swap my ticket at the ticket office where i bought it (öticket offices, Hofer Supermarket, Raiffeisen Bank...)?

    No, swapping* is only possible by using our online platform.

    * Upon confirmation you agree to set off your claim for refund of the price for the 2020 ticket against your obligation for payment of the price for the 2021 ticket.

  • I haven't redeemed my Hofer ticket code yet. What should I do to swap my ticket for next year?

    Please redeem your code first. As soon as you have received your FQ20 ticket, you can swap* it for next year by it entering the ticket barcode and your data on our online platform.

    * Upon confirmation you agree to set off your claim for refund of the price for the 2020 ticket against your obligation for payment of the price for the 2021 ticket.

  • Can I swap more than one ticket at once?

    It depends on where you bought your ticket. If you have several Hofer tickets, you can swap* them on our online platform at once. For all other tickets (oeticket, Raiffeisen, musicticket), only one ticket can be swapped in one swapping process. If you have some of these tickets, we ask you to simply repeat the swapping process.

  • I want to return my FQ20 ticket. What should I do? Info about vouchers!

  • For which future events can the voucher be redeemed?

  • How much is the voucher issued for?

    About the price printed on the ticket. Only one ticket can be processed at a time. It is unfortunately not possible to combine several tickets into a total.

  • I bought a FQ20 ticket with a value of less than 70 euros, and I would like to return it. What options do I have?

    For all tickets with a value of up to 70 euros you can (as soon as the system is available) get a voucher. This voucher is valid until December 31st, 2022 and can be redeemed for future events organized by the musicnet entertainment GmbH (incl. FM4 Frequency Festivals), Nova Music Entertainment GmbH and Barracuda Music GmbH. For an overview of all future events please go to www.barracudamusic.at.

  • I bought a FQ20 ticket with a value of more than 70 euros and would like to return it. What options do I have?

    If the ticket value exceeds 70 euros, you will receive a voucher for 70 euros and the remaining amount (above 70 euros) will be paid to you.

    At festivals, however, the value of the ticket is calculated per event day. Say a 3-day festival pass for 180 euros corresponds to a value of 60 euros per day. Since the value per day does not exceed 70 euros, only the voucher solution is possible here. You will receive a voucher worth 180 euros.

    This day regulation is established by a federal law. The german version of this law can be found HERE.

    Further calculation examples:

    VIP Festival Pass: If you have a VIP Festival Pass for 349.99 euros, the daily value is 349.99 euros / 3 = 116.66 euros. You can have 210 euros (3 x 70 euros) issued as a voucher and the remaining amount of 139.98 (3 x 46.66 euros) will be refunded.

    Day tickets: If you have a day ticket for 99 euros, you can get 70 euros as a voucher and the remaining amount of 29 euros will be paid out to you.

  • I bought several tickets for the FQ20. Does the voucher model refer to the total amount or each individual ticket?

    Only one ticket can be processed at a time.

  • When can I get a voucher for my FQ20 tickets?

  • I want my tickets paid out! What needs to be done?

    According to the law a refund is only possible after December 31, 2022. The legislature has stipulated that only the voucher system can be used for all canceled events. All vouchers that are not redeemed by 12/31/2022 can then be paid out. This system is intended to help ensure that the culture and event industry continues to survive.

  • How long does it take to process my request?

    We ask for your patience here, as the practical and technical implementation takes a lot of time.

  • I booked a hotel for Frequency 2020. What should I do?

    We recommend that you contact the accommodation directly and ask whether a free cancellation is possible. Of course, this depends on the cancellation policy of each hotel. You can find detailed information on the homepage of the European Consumer Centre, where all frequently asked questions concerning travel and coronavirus are answered.

  • I booked a private Airbnb for Frequency 2020. What should I do?

    We recommend that you contact your host directly and ask whether a free cancellation is possible. Of course the respective cancellation and refund options apply for each accommodation. You can check the cancellation policy of your booking and find cancellation and refund options by selecting your trip under "Travel". For more information, please visit the Airbnb Help Centre.

  • I booked a flight, train or bus to Frequency 2020. What should I do?

    The best thing to do is to ask the company in charge, whether you can cancel free of charge or get a voucher for a later flight or ride instead.
