Central CEE

Growing up in and around Shepherds Bush, surrounded by the richness of music and cultural history, Central Cee has found a purpose for himself that reflects the community around him.

It’s no wonder that the young artist has been experimenting with music since he was a child but Central Cee cites his father as a major inspiration for him to get into it. Starting to create musically at the age of 8, it wasn’t until he turned 14 when he started recording his music and putting it out into the world.

Fast forward to the present day, and with an international appeal and high anticipation around his every move, Central Cee is the UK’s hottest and most followed rapper. With a social audience of over 8 million, and an awe-inspiring 2 Billion global artist streams, he is transcending the UK rap scene. 65% of Central Cee’s fans are outside of the UK, with him regularly charting across the globe.

In early 2021, Central Cee released his debut mixtape Wild West which was both a critical and commercial success. Wild West became the highest selling British debut album of 2021 with two Top Ten and three Top 20 UK singles, and led to Cench winning two GRM Daily Awards for Best Male Artist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year, as well as being nominated for three Brit Awards: Not to mention his 2021 UK headline tour selling out in just two minutes — a sign of things to come.

In a year where the unexpected became normal, Central Cee made his name heard. His hit single “Obsessed With You”, became a viral smash and earned him another Top Ten chart position - sitting in the UK Official Top 10 for over 11 weeks, and garnering over 200 million + global streams.

With his second mixtape 23 landing in early 2022 and heading straight to Number 1 in the UK Official Chart, Central Cee continued to define UK rap on his own terms. 23 is an ambitious endeavor, with the rapper setting his sights on global stardom, with features including Italy’s Rondodasosa, France’s Freeze Corleone and Spain’s Morad.

Now, as 2022 reaches its final quarter, Cench is still riding a huge wave of success. His freestyle for LA Leakers has garnered over 3 million views already, and arrives hot on the heels of his hit charting single - "Doja" - a global success. The track marked a huge moment, as Central Cee became the first ever UK artist to have a video directed by the iconic Cole Bennett, and hosted on the coveted channel - Lyrical Lemonade.

To date, "Doja" has racked up over 180 million streams, and over 55 million views. The song debuted at #2 on the UK's Official Charts and became a worldwide smash, marking Central Cee’s highest charting positions in Australia, Germany, Benelux, and more, and reaching Spotify's Top 10 Daily Plays in 21 markets. The song reached Shazam's Global Top 100 chart,

peaked at #19 on Billboard's Global 200 songs chart, and tore up TikTok to the tune of over 1 million video creations.

The 24-year-old artist is cruising on this momentum towards his "Still Loading World Tour." Kicking off in October 2022, the "Still Loading World Tour" starts in the United States, where Cench will perform his first-ever American headlining dates, before heading to Europe on October 31st. The tour culminates in London on November 22nd, as Cench headlines a special show at the historic Alexandra Palace.

Central Cee’s blend of concise lyricism is layered with introspective thought and social commentary, alongside innovative and forward-thinking production. At only 24 years-old, Cench moves with the vision and presence of someone much older; he doesn’t want his music to be just for the moment but over time, it’s clear that he wants to create a legacy for himself. Considering the milestone achievements made in his early career, Central Cee has already begun to carve out a legacy.

Central Cee is an inimitable and unavoidable talent.
