Main Area

The Green Park in the heart of St. Pölten shows itself from its best side! Where else can you find two festivals in one? Day- and Nightpark offer pure festival feeling. Away from the stages, you can hang out on the beautiful banks of the Traisen River or pass the time with the side actions (DJ lines, workshops, etc.).

Therefore, we will be guests in St. Pölten again this year! Already since 2014 we can draw a positive balance. The waste and environmental concept was very well received by the visitors. On the festival days, almost 250,000 empty cans were collected annually at the return/exchange stands on the grounds and could be disposed of directly. The Green Camping area, with its own, super clean and at the same time quiet area, has also become a fixed component of the FM4 Frequency Festival. This year, of course, the concept will be improved once again! You can find out more about it on the Green subpage of our homepage.

TRAIN

The ÖBB offers three connections from Vienna to St. Pölten per hour: 

• The fast CJX-Trains are departing at minute 18 from the Westbahnhof. (Journey around 36 min).
• From Vienna Main Station the RJX trains depart at minute 30 (Journey: starting from 29 min) and the Railjets at minute 55 (Journey around 33 min).
• From Salzburg and Linz there are two trains every hour to St. Pölten.
• geht’s 2x pro Stunde mit dem Railjet nach St. Pölten zum Frequency Festival.

There is a special train every day after the festival ends from St. Pölten to Vienna Meidling. The departure is at 02:10. You need the ticket „Sonderzug Frequency 2023“. The price is € 13,- full price and  € 7,- with a discount. You get a discount if you have a VORTEILScard, a Klimaticket or a Top-Jugendticket. The special train ticket is for one trip only. Regular tickets (also Klimaticket and Top-Jugendtickets) are not valid in the special trains! You can book the tickets starting from the 1st of August below:

SHUTTLE BUS

Train Station st. Pölten –> Green Camping –> Main Entrance –> Train Station 

Attention: Starting from Saturday 8pm the routes will change. The buses do not drive to both stops in one go – the routes are either Green Camping → Train station (+retour) or Main entrance  → Train station (+retour).

Once you arrive at the train station in St. Pölten, the Frequency shuttle bus will take you to the Green Camping area for 8 Euros (unlimited rides between the train station and the festival area) and then to the main festival entrance.

In addition to the shuttle buses you can use the public bus transport. From the bus station „Kelsengasse“ it’s only a few minutes by foot to the main entrance.

CAR

The site is located in the Lower Austrian capital St. Pölten. As with the last festival, we have created many new parking spaces and a new bandstand in the eastern parts of the site, so we strongly recommend you to use the highway exit St. Pölten Ost, which you can reach via the Westautobahn A1 and the S33.

DIRECTIONS

Access is only possible via our four belt outputs. Access via Landsberger Straße or other settlement areas is not possible. 

In the sense of a good cooperation with the residents, we ask you to keep to the driving and stopping bans and to park only in the areas designated as parking spaces! Please avoid parking in the residential areas. 

Please follow the traffic rules, especially in the area of parking. In order to be able to offer you a functioning and safe festival, we are dependent on rescue and supply routes. If these are not accepted, rigorous towing will take place. The same applies if you obstruct other road users with your car. No liability will be accepted for damage, injury or theft in the parking areas.

VIP FESTIVAL PASS

A VIP festival pass includes a 3-day festival pass and access to the VIP area. This area is located directly next to the Space Stage and offers you a luxury toilet facility, a VIP bar and a VIP grandstand with a great view of the stage. In addition, the VIP festival pass includes a VIP parking lot near the main entrance and a VIP campsite, which is located directly behind the festival core area.

The Best Friends Of Frequency festival pass is the absolute pinnacle of solidity and includes all the benefits of the VIP festival pass (see info above), as well as access to an exclusive covered area above the VIP grandstand. There you will find comfortable seating and table service, which will provide you with free beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

Normal camping is not your thing? At the Frequeny festival you can book a “Glamping” (=glamour camping) option as well! You can choose between:

• FIVER tent (Tent for up to 5 people) 
• FreQmansion (Wooden hut for up to 4 people)

Attention: Festival tickets are not included in these options. They are only valid in combination with festival passes, BFF festival passes or VIP festival passes. You need one ticket per hut/tent. 

 

General Info

There is a separate area for caravan camping near the river “Traisen”. To park and camp there you have to get yourself a separate caravan ticket. The caravan ticket is only valid in combination with a festival pass or VIP festival pass.

Only the driver needs a caravan ticket. All other passengers just need their normal festival pass, VIP festival pass or BFF festival pass. Please have your tickets ready when you enter the caravan camping area.

We have provided enough space for each caravan ticket, there is space for vehicle and awning. Nevertheless, we ask you to be fair to the other visitors and do not take away their space by oversized camps.

 

What defines a Caravan?

A caravan is any vehicle that offers fixed sleeping accommodation for as many people as there are passengers in the vehicle. Folding caravans also count as caravans. The total length of the vehicles is limited to 11 meters and the permissible total weight to 3.5 tons. Please note that cars are not allowed on the site without exception.

One awning is allowed per caravan or camper, but for safety reasons it is not allowed to sleep in it. Sleeping tents e.g. next to station wagons etc. are not permitted.

PROHIBITIONS

Please help us to save the environment by keeping your camping area clean. You are not allowed to bring glass and bulky objects (such as couches, sofas, plywood…), gas cartouches, gas bottles and flameable liquids into the caravan camping area.

ANY KIND OF GAS CARTRIDGES, GAS BOTTLES, VARIOUS FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON THE CARAVAN SITE! DIGGING HOLES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON THE CARAVAN SITE!

Further prohibitions:

• Digging holes
• Open fire
• Beer crates and other bulky objects
• Beer tables and banks
• Weapons or weapon-like objects and fireworks
• Animals and pets

No liability is accepted for damage, injuries or theft at the caravan area.
Festival passes are not included in the Caravan Only Ticket.
Caravan tickets are only valid in combination with a festival pass, BFF or VIP festival pass!
